Messiah…Outreach to All!
“…for I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink.” Matthew 25:34. We are called by God to serve those in need and here at Messiah Church we feel we have been called to provide food and drink for those in need in our community.
Since June of 2012, Messiah Church has been providing a free meal to the community on the second and fourth Tuesdays of each month. A home cooked, sit-down, family style meal is served at 5:30 PM. Children, teens and adults of any age are welcome to attend.
We invite those who are not physically able to cook for themselves, those who are not financially able to cook for themselves, or those who desire this opportunity to join in a time of fellowship and social contact to attend our meals. God has blessed us and we are passing this blessing on to others.
If you are grieving the loss of a child of any age, please join us the first Thursday of every month from 7:30-9:00 p.m. in the Timothy House Annex. This group is facilitated by Marcie Taylor of the Drew Michael Taylor Foundation of Shippensburg. Marcie’s 3 1/2 year-old son, Drew, was killed in an auto accident on June 13, 2006. If you have questions about the Bereaved Parents Support Group, please contact Marcie Taylor at 717-532-8922 or by email.
